I’ve always enjoyed scrolling through celebrity outfit pictures when it comes to festivals — especially at the one and only Coachella. From iconic all-over denim looks (hello Kali Uchis) to pink sparkly sequin bikini sets (looking at you, Becky G), the fashion inspiration is endless at Coachella, and what makes it even more special is how free everyone gets to be with their outfit choices. There are no rules or restrictions; you can dress up or down as much as you want, and I love how much celebrities and festival attendees do not hold back.
Next week, I’ll be attending the music festival for the first time ever (yay), and I’ve been working on putting together my own looks from Forever 21’s latest festival launch. The brand recently dropped its largest line, called the Forever Festival collectionfeaturing tons of cool, trendy, and affordable jeans, dresses, crop tops, mini skirts, and more. To prevent myself from becoming overwhelmed with all the options, I decided to create an outfit inspiration board on Pinterest first, which helped me narrow down the type of looks I wanted to go for. Thanks to Queen B’s Cowboy Cater album release, there are tons of western/cowboy-inspired looks trending right now, and you can find a whole section dedicated to those looks on Forever 21’s site (look how cute this tk is). You’ll also be able to search through popular festival fashion trends on different tabs, like EDM, Indie, and Hip-Hop.
For the three-day weekend, I plan to wear a different-themed outfit each day. On day one, I’ll be stepping out in my best Western fit; day two will be all about the glitz and glam (I’m not over the Renaissance album yet, okay); and lastly, I’ll go out with a bang, serving desert bae vibes in a crochet two-piece skirt set. Below, you can check out some of the pieces I’ll be incorporating into my festival looks, and I hope you end up seeing one or two items you might want to try out, too!
